The proxy gives no CEO dates. MasTec's own 10-K filings (opened 2026-10-18 on sec.gov: FY1995, FY1996, FY1997, FY1998 and FY2000 reports) list him as President and CEO from March 11, 1994, and chairman from January 1998; the FY2000 report says Joel-Tomas Citron has been CEO since October 1999, so his CEO tenure was March 1994 to October 1999. MasTec's Wikipedia page says 1992 to 1997, which these filings do not support. An earlier version of this profile said he was CEO until March 2007; the filings contradict that (Austin Shanfelter was CEO from August 2001, and the March 2007 10-K lists Jorge as chairman). The 'from' year is keyed to his March 1994 start as MasTec CEO and chairman role, not to the 1979 start of his work with the company.
